# Yes/Bengaluru Challenge

Accelerating innovative solutions to help reimagine and transform the city of Bengaluru


## Overview

Cities are rapidly expanding, housing over 80% of global GDP while facing mounting pressures from population growth, resource demand and infrastructure constraints. In fast-growing urban hubs like Bengaluru, challenges such as mobility, pollution, energy use and waste management threaten sustainability, resilience and quality of life.Addressing these issues requires place-based innovation that leverages local ecosystems and scalable technologies. The Yes/Bengaluru Challenge, launched by UpLink in collaboration with the Forum’s Centre for Urban Transformation,  the Government of Karnataka, Greater Bengaluru Authority, and a strong coalition of public and private collaborators, sought solutions to reimagine urban systems and accelerate sustainable, inclusive city development through entrepreneurship and cross-sector collaboration.
