Amazonia Impact Ventures invests in indigenous and other forest people's organisations to protect and regenerate the Amazon rainforest and improve the livelihoods of its people.Through innovative impact-linked investments, AIV reaches thousands of small producers and communities that live in and depend upon the forest. AIV provides the capital, incentives and assistance urgently needed for forest conservation and restoration, regenerative agriculture, business resilience and the growth of the Amazon's bio-economy.Since 2020, AIV has made impact-linked investments of more than US$7.2 million to meet the working capital needs of rural businesses in Peru, Colombia and Ecuador. These organisations are working with over 4000 farmers and their local communities to protect and improve land use of more than 160,000 Ha of farm and community-forest land. The target is to scale this innovative approach by investing $25 million to reach 1 million hectares and 100,000 people in Peru, Ecuador, Colombia and Brazil.
