About

BillionCarbon: Rebuilding the Food–Soil Loop. Every day, cities generate massive volumes of food waste—rich in nutrients, yet treated as a liability. When dumped or poorly processed, this waste releases methane, degrades soil systems, and breaks a fundamental natural cycle: the return of nutrients from food back to soil. BillionCarbon is rebuilding this broken food–soil loop. At the core of our work is a 3-day Precision Food Waste Treatment technology that achieves up to 95% biomass reduction within 72 hours. Our systems use a micro- and macro-organism powered aerobic process, engineered within self-regulating bioreactors to ensure rapid, clean, and consistent conversion. Through this process, food waste is transformed into a micro-nutrient rich liquid bio-inputs for urban landscapes and agriculture, designed to restore soil health and reduce dependence on synthetic inputs. BillionCarbon is building the infrastructure layer for circular cities. Our mission is to mitigate 1 billion tonnes of CO₂e and create 100,000 climate jobs by 2030 by scaling circular, decentralized infrastructure globally.
