Capi Bara aims to protect tropical forests and improve people’s lives by offering a market for ethical, natural products from the Andean and Amazon forests. The company works closely with fruit farmers, mainly family run communities, who manage agricultural and forestry systems. The fruits, such as Aguaje, Camu-Camu, Cocona, Copoazu and Lucuma, are sold as pure frozen fruit pulp and can be used for the preparation of sweet and savoury food products such as ice cream, juices and cocktails. By optimizing the entire fruit supply chain, Capi Bara generates added value to forestry products, provides a market for small-holder farmers and makes forests and people more resilient to climatic and economical changes.
