About

Fundación Pachamama works closely with indigenous communities in the Ecuadorian Amazon to promote alternative territorial conservation models and safeguard the rights of its people. Its Forest Economies Program promotes bio-enterprises in the Amazon region to develop sustainable and financially viable solutions based on the use of forest resources. In recent years, Pachamama, with the support of productive associations, local governments, academia, and private companies, has developed innovative value chains for vanilla, morete, ishpingo, wild cocoa and macambo. In addition, the company is working on the development of value-added products from traditional indigenous agroforestry systems.
