Humans in the Loop is a Bulgarian social enterprise that provides image annotation to power artificial intelligence and machine learning. The company employs refugees, asylum seekers and internally displaced people to conduct manual automation of image labelling and real-time monitoring projects across a wide range of sectors such as self-driving cars, drones, satellites, medical imagery and agriculture. Humans in the Loop offers upskilling programmes to its staff, including language training and digital literacy, in order to support them in developing new skills.
