Ocean Eye is a data collection and financial transfer platform that collects wildlife sighting data and transfers ecosystem service payments. Its working mechanism is based on animal sightings related micro payments made by marine tourists. These payments are transparently transferred to coastal communities through Ocean Eye, creating a strong incentive to transform the unsustainable behaviour of fisheries and coastal communities towards a sustainable, regenerative and profitable new focus industry that provides positive livelihood for the future.
