About

Medical data collection presents significant challenges, but securing it is equally critical. In 2024 alone, the US experienced 677 medical data breaches, compromising the records of 182 million people. At the same time, precision medicine faces a major issue: existing genomic datasets are overwhelmingly skewed toward Caucasian populations, limiting its effectiveness. Quantasphere is a Saudi-Indian collaboration that hopes to correct this imbalance by focusing on genomic data from nearly 1.5 billion people across these regions. Its end-to-end solution consists of quantum resistant encryption that combines lattice-based algorithms with quantum key distribution protocols.
