Quminex is a mineral exploration technology company using advanced classical and quantum machine learning to identify concealed ore deposits. Its royalty-based model generates sustainable revenue by predicting high-value targets, validating them in the field, and monetizing successful discoveries. With global discovery rates of large, near-surface deposits declining, Quminex applies AI and quantum methods to locate the next generation of deep, hidden mineral systems in underexplored regions. The team brings strong expertise across mineral exploration, data science, and quantum computing, including: Dr. Marc Fassbender (Co-founder & CEO), Dr. Alan Baxter (Co-founder & Chief Exploration Officer), Prof. Dr. Taha Rouabah (Co-founder & Scientific Advisor), TJ Ayoub (Applied Data Scientist), Kaitlyn Breker (Software Engineer), Mohamed Messaoud Louamri (Quantum Specialist), and Dr. Luis Da Costa (Senior Technical Advisor). Collectively, they bring over 30 years research experience and 6 years of mineral exploration industry experience with a vast network in Mining, Quantum and AI with publications in top journals such as Nature Communications, Geology, Economic Geology, and Physical Review. Over the past 11 months, Quminex has grown to 4 full-time employees, 1 contractor, a quantum intern, and a technical advisor. Quminex is advancing its platform across all mineral system scales, integrating deep learning approaches, expanding quantum clustering capabilities, and creating new validation metrics to benchmark our models. Supported by the QV Studio in Quebec, Quminex bridges data-driven and knowledge-driven approaches through unsupervised ML, quantum algorithms, and advanced data transformations that reduce human bias and compensate for limited training data. Quminex is in advanced discussions with three mining companies and one exploration company across Canada, Norway, Spain, and Australia to test and validate its technology. Its platform aims to identify mineral targets independent of mineralization style and at greater depths, opening new exploration frontiers and accelerating the transition to a cleaner, more sustainable global economy.
