Renewal is a non -profit organisation which was founded in 2007. It develops and implements community mental health interventions to support people experiencing psychological distress. It works with children, adolescents and young adults on various issues that affect their growth and development. Interventions focus on edutainment, prevention and service provision. Our core values are inclusivity, being forward looking and uplifting. Therefore, our programs appeal to a variety of users, are creative, innovative and adapt to change which makes them relevant to client needs. We support people in positive ways, by creating spaces for empowerment, rather than repeating stories of stigma and victimisation. Our target populations include, but are not limited to, orphans and vulnerable children, individuals living and working on the street, LGBTQI+ community, young people selling sex, gender based violence, people living with HIV, persons with disabilities, substance abuse as well as people affected by Covid -19.
