Sati App works to connect users to trained empathetic listeners by creating a safe space for them to share their problems in order to reduce the issues of depression, self-harm and suicide. Sati App works with the support of the Department of Mental Health in the Ministry of Health. It is one of the only apps providing peer support with audio conversation (beyond being a text-based application). Launched in 2021, Sati App is in phase one. It will soon incorporate in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning to detect the stress level of the caller so that best support can be provided to them.
