Shea Empowerment Foundation (SEF) is a non-governmental organisation that promotes agricultural and rural development through targeted training and capacity-building activities for value chain players with the aim of income generation and poverty alleviation. SEF is the project implementation arm of Shea Origin Limited a private company that manufactures and produces shea butter and shea cosmetics. We accomplish this by developing the whole value chain from nut collector to user, building capacity through skills training, technological development, parkland management, community, and stakeholders engagement, facilitating and managing public-private partnerships, corporate social responsibility management, advocacy, access to finance and investment and agricultural & rural development.
