Sumisawa works with the Sarayaku Kichwa community to maintain land that is free of extractive activities and instead, uses regenerative and intercultural models that recognize and holistically support the community’s biocultural history. These models leverage traditional indigenous knowledge, environmental conservation techniques, sustainable agroforestry and aquaculture, ecotourism and fair trade.
