Toque Amazonico combines female empowerment with sustainable development through Rondônia’s first cosmetic company managed by rural women. This community-based project not only prevents the deforestation of two palm trees in the region, the babassu and the buriti, but also utilizes the fruits of these palm trees which yield oils with cosmetic properties.
