Born out of a public-private partnership on agricultural risk management and monitoring, vertify.earth is offering site-specific nature audits. We help public and private stakeholders to understand their impact and dependencies on nature - based on geospatial data integrated with ground-collected data. Both public and private sector stakeholders have stepped up efforts in ensuring their actions are leading towards a nature positive bottom line. European regulators are driving these efforts with nature-specific regulation: The EU's Deforestation Regulation compels companies to ensure that the production of certain of their product across the supply chain is deforestation-free. Companies need to undertake investigations on the sites from which they are procuring their commodities. -> We provide a deforestation analysis at the origins of the supply chain using the required parameters. The EU's Corporate Responsibility Directive requires companies to report on their nature impact and their strategy to measure the impact. -> We have developed satellite data-based tools and algorithms to monitor those impacts for specific commodities and industries (eg cotton, cement, cocoa). Companies and conservation organisation require simple spatialised indicators alongside data that is being ground-truthed - be it through socio-economic surveys (human impact) or IoT devices (such as camera taps or accoustic tools). We build our platform to integrate both.
