As Asia undergoes rapid demographic shifts, traditional three-stage life models are giving way to longer, multi-stage lives shaped by transitions between work, learning and caregiving. While this creates new opportunities, it also introduces challenges, from financial insecurity to increased caregiving burdens and widening retirement savings gaps.
Addressing these shifts requires innovative approaches to financial resilience, health and workforce participation across all life stages. The Longevity Challenge, launched by UpLink in collaboration with the Forum's Centre for Financial and Monetary Systems and Manulife, called for solutions to promote multigenerational financial security, equitable healthy ageing and lifelong fulfilment in an increasingly dynamic and ageing society.
