# AI Innovation for Resilient Supply Chains

A call for integrated, next-generation solutions that harness AI and advanced technologies to redesign supply chain architectures, enhance resilience and adaptability, reduce systemic fragmentation and dependencies and strengthen reliability amid geopolitical, climate and technological disruption.


## Overview

Supply chains are facing continuous, structural disruption, prompting a shift from efficiency-led, just-in-time models towards resilience, adaptability and ecosystem coordination. As interconnected, multi-tier systems, their performance depends on coordination across suppliers and partners. Although companies have invested in AI tools that improve visibility and responsiveness, significant gaps remain in Tier 1 visibility, SME inclusion, climate-risk integration, workforce skills, and AI, data and cybersecurity governance. Fragmented point solutions are no longer sufficient to address these systemic weaknesses.Led by UpLink and Accenture, in collaboration with the World Economic Forum’s Next Frontiers of Operations Initiative, this Challenge asked how AI could enable new supply chain architectures by rethinking network design, sourcing and coordination while embedding resilience, sustainability, inclusion and trust by design. Winners will gain access to a global network of corporates, investors and policymakers to support deployment and scale.
